Architecture · six phases

Publication, citation, and revenue playbook

IMMERVEIL is a moving-intelligence product, not a lead mill dressed as a blog. This is the public specification for how pages get indexed, how AI systems should cite us, and how revenue is allowed to attach without corrupting official fields. The working name “MOVING WITH” is a headline, not a rebrand.

Industry dollar figures below are third-party 2025–2026 ranges, labeled as such. They are not IMMERVEIL measurements and not a forecast.

Phase 1 — Top 10 reverse-engineering

The US relocation web is a funnel with three money engines: display, shared pay-per-lead, and owned booking. Almost every commercial site mixes TOFU education with a zip form sold to three-to-six movers. IMMERVEIL’s unfair advantage is the opposite: official numbers competitors flatten.

Phase 2 — Programmatic taxonomy (2026–2028)

  • Indexed corridors: 368 state-to-state pages that pass the gate (ACS estimate ≥ 5,000, 90% MOE ≤ 50% of the estimate, reverse flow, centroid miles, ≥5 unique facts). Template: /routes/[origin-state]-to-[destination-state].
  • Utility corridors: every other ACS pair still renders, noindex. Indexing 2,450 near-duplicate doorway pages is a ranking liability, not a strategy.
  • State hubs: 50 states + DC at /states/[slug] with unique in/out ACS totals and top inbound/outbound bars.
  • Not shipped — metro: /routes/nyc-to-miami requires an official metro or county-to-county flow table. ACS T13 is state-to-state. County-to-county is a different file and stays out of scope until a vintage passes the promotion gate.
  • Not shipped — USDOT directory: /movers/[usdot]-[slug] as an indexable profile of 4.4 million census rows. Company URLs stay noindex. The lookup is the product. Live SODA queries the full file; a 1,832-row fixture is never used to declare a mover missing.
  • Not shipped — invented calculators: estimated fuel, tolls, insurance, or mover price brackets. Those numbers are not in ACS or MCMIS. Quote Check stays arithmetic on the document you type. ZIP codes are user-entered facts, not an ACS geography.

Heading formulas (indexed corridor)

  • H1: {Origin} → {Destination}
  • Title: {Origin} to {Dest} · ACS 2024 migration · IMMERVEIL
  • Meta description: estimate, 90% MOE, previous-residence caveat. Never a fabricated “average move cost.”
  • On-page H2s: what the figure measures, corridor table, distance note, planning checklist, FAQ.

Phase 3 — GEO and entity schema

AI Overviews, SearchGPT, and Perplexity cite pages that expose a stable entity, a dated official number, and a limitation in the same block. Information gain versus affiliate fluff is the 90% MOE, the reverse flow, the centroid-versus-driving distinction, and MOTUS authorities collapsed latest-per-docket-and-type.

  • Indexed corridors emit BreadcrumbList + Dataset (Census Bureau as creator, temporalCoverage 2024) + FAQPage.
  • /llms.txt tells crawlers the vintage (2024 ACS, released 21 Jan 2026) and forbids inventing a 2025 table.
  • MovingCompany and GovernmentPermit are not emitted on indexable URLs. Lookup results are noindex. We will not mark a company we have not resolved on a live census row as a local business, and we will not cosplay NAP / GBP for a carrier that is not us.
  • Local search GEO (NAP consistency, Google Business Profile) is the mover’s job. IMMERVEIL is not a citation mill.

Phase 4 — $500+/month, reserved not faked

Third-party 2026 ranges (lead-industry writeups, not IMMERVEIL): shared moving leads often ~$15–$120; exclusive search-intent higher; one May 2026 PPC guide cited shared local ~$15 / interstate ~$20 and exclusive ~$45–$85, with Google Ads moving leads often $40–$100. Display RPM on US home-services pages is typically mid-single to low-double dollars — not $35 unless the session is high-intent and viewable.

  • Display at a $12 RPM: ~42,000 quality sessions to clear $500/month — after a network is contracted. The unit is reserved (min-height 250px, no CLS) and empty until then.
  • Leads at $40 and 1.5% conversion: ~830 qualified submits to clear $500/month; ~2,500 to clear $1,500. IMMERVEIL’s form does not collect phone or email and does not ping a broker. When a network is connected, the privacy policy and affiliate disclosure change in the same turn.
  • Viewport: mid-content, below the official table, never a sticky header. Sticky header ads fight LCP/CLS and this product’s trust surface.
  • Billy.com, Moving.com Affiliate, Quinstreet: not connected. Empty rather than a fake offer.

Phase 5 — Production UI (what is actually built)

Stack stays TanStack Start + React + Tailwind. A Next.js 15 rewrite is a framework change, not a data or trust change, and is out of scope.

  • Hero search: USDOT / MC / legal name, GET, no JavaScript required, live full-file census. Official FMCSA rating stamp (census codes S/C/U or not reported) — not a “verified carrier” badge.
  • Route intelligence card: origin vs destination ACS, reverse, net previous-residence, centroid miles, and an explicit “market price NOT IN THIS DATASET” panel.
  • Corridor intake: origin/destination states, optional 5-digit ZIP as a fact, optional date → Quote Check. ZIP is not a Census flow.
  • Reserved native ad unit: raised surface, min-height 250px, empty copy, intersection-tracked.

Phase 6 — Execution gate

  • Now: 368 indexed corridors, 51 state hubs, live FMCSA, Quote Check, reserved ads, first-party tools, GEO graph, this playbook.
  • When Census publishes a newer T13: run the promotion gate. Do not fabricate 2025.
  • When county-to-county ACS is ingested and gated: metro routes become eligible. Not before.
  • When a written insertion order and a privacy update exist: PPL may collect phone/email. Not before.
  • Never: index 4.4 million thin USDOT pages, invent fuel/tolls/insurance, treat 110% as “final bill cannot exceed,” or impersonate FMCSA.
